Primrose is a compact plant that requires full to part shade and fairly moist soils. It has small rosettes of leaves that give rise to stalks of flowers available in all colors of the rainbow. They can be used in garden beds, containers, or along pathways. Due to their small stature, primrose are most spectacular when allowed to naturalize in an area.
