Iris

Iris are great plants for garden beginners and veterans alike. Due to popularity and hybridization, the large showy flowers are available in a multitude of colors. The sword shaped leaves fan out from thick fleshy rhizomes. For the best vigor, plant in well drained soils with the top of the rhizome exposed to the air. Iris readily multiply and will quickly fill a sunny flower bed. Divide them every few years to remove old worn out rhizomes and improve flowering and vigor.
